Dr. Karim Lekadir (PI) is a Ramon y Cajal researcher and director of the Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Lab (BCN-AIM) at the University of Barcelona. He holds a PhD in Medical Image Computing from Imperial College London (UK) and a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Montpellier II (France). He was previously a visiting scholar at Stanford University (USA).

Her PhD research focused on the design of new spatio-temporal saliency models to locally characterize the dynamic of the heart. Angélica’s current research interest focuses on the application of artificial intelligence to build predictive models of cardio-metabolic risk from exposome, early-life-stress, and phenotypic data.
